From the very first telephone contact with George Balbino of QSM (UK) I had the gut feeling that I had discovered the answer to my 'problem'. Unlike many dealers/distributors in the UK, George dealt with my enquiry in an diligent and professional manner and took time to answer all my queries and questions. Refreshingly, there was no hard sell - it was like chatting with a fellow hunter/shooter and getting genuine unbiased advice. Never in writing have I endorsed a product publicly, but I feel your product is of such quality it truly deserves it. I have used several of your suppressors for several years now, ranging from the QSM titanium .223 thru the latest .408 titanium suppressor I use on an extremely large caliber long range rifle. Over the years I have used many other name brand suppressors. The quality of Quicksilver MFG is excellent. I personally prefer the titanium material for the longevity and weight reduction. Many customers focus on noise reduction only, I find QSM suppressors to be smaller, stronger than and as quiet as much larger and heavier designs from other manufacturers. I have found accuracy to be my main requirement. QSM suppressors are extremely light weight and utilize a strong, simple and repeatable single point mounting. I believe this is why my rifles shoot far more accurately with QSM suppressors compared to others I have used.

The Army Evaluation Task Force has tested our QSM titanium .223 moderator against other major manufacturers and has found it superior in all respects!

Of all the suppressors we evaluated, the QSM Suppressor performed the best. The accuracy of the round fired through the suppressor held a tighter, more accurate shot group than the other suppressors at greater ranges. It was also quieter to the human ear than the other demos. The suppressor cooled much quicker than the others as well,which will reduce the risk of burning equipment, and operators. The only negative things noted regarding this suppressor was that the birdcage had to be removed, which doesn’t allow you to quickly add or remove the suppressor. Also, the locktight must be used in order to keep the suppressor from rotating off the end of the barrel.This was noted as only single fired shots were used. Automatic fire rotated the suppressor even quicker. The recommendation being made to the Army is to equip the Scouts with the suppressors. This will increase their lethality, and reduce their vulnerability. Their job is to have eyes on the objective, without being detected. If theyare compromised, they may be able to eliminate an immediate threat, and possibly still remain undetected. The Scouts will not need to take the suppressors off and on, they can keep them affixed to the weapons. Therefore, the locktight can be used without worry.
